Welsh pronunciation MIR mir EYE ron, which translates to 'In the (the) murmur (of) (the river) Aeron'.

Murmur Aeron is surrounded by farm pasture land and rolling hills, with scenic views from all the rooms.

Murmur Aeron is a property of clean lines built in the early 1960's with good sized rooms with high ceilings and parquet floors, located opposite St Ceitho's Church on the edge of the Llangeitho village, birth place of Daniel Rowland one of the foremost leaders of the Welsh Calvinistic Methodist revival.

There is a village shop/cafe and pub within walking distance of the house. Tregaron is only 5 miles away, Lampeter 12 miles and Aberystwyth 18 miles.

Murmur Aeron is self-catering however we will supply you with enough washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, hand soap and toilet rolls to get you started. You will be greeted with a complementary welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a local treat!

We also sell free range eggs and homemade Jelly from our small holding, (please ask for current prices when booking.)

WiFi included.

Motorcyclists welcome, garage adjoining property is available for storing bikes/motorbikes. Some great roads to drive in the area, from mountain roads to coast roads. We highly recommend the circular route via the Elan valley taking you over two mountain roads With stunning views! 

Sorry, no pets are allowed at Murmur Aeron, If you are looking for a pet friendly property please take a look at our pet friendly cottages Station house, Station Cottage or Rhoslwyn where pets are welcome.

The accommodation comprises of:

Lounge - A good sized comfortable sitting room with parque wooden floors,  two three seat sofas and a multi-fuel stove for those chilly Welsh evenings.

Dining Room - The dining room contains table and seating for 6 with a hatch through to the kitchen.

Reading Room - A quiet retreat containing a number of books and board games along with a comfortable leather lounge chair with foot stool and side table. Also contains a pay phone.

Kitchen – The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, full size fridge freezer and microwave, along with a full oven and hob.  Every effort has been made to ensure that the kitchen is equipped with everything that would be required for a comfortable stay at Murmur Aeron.

Shower Room - Modern and clean lined shower room with large shower and wash basin.

Toilets - Murmur Aeron has two separate toilets, one located on the lower floor and the second located upstairs next to the shower room.

Drying Room - Dedicated drying room situated in the outer corridor for the use of guests for drying clothes, which also contains a tumble dryer.

Bedrooms  – Murmur Aeron has four comfortable bedrooms, two large doubles, one large single and a single. The three rooms facing the rear of the property each have stunning views along down the Aeron Valley.  Linen and towels are provided, please bring your own beach towel.

Garden - The house has a large garden area surrounding the house mainly laid to lawn but with trees, fruit trees and bushes.

Parking – There is off road parking space for up to four cars which includes the use of the adjoining garage which is also ideal for storing bikes.

Electricity and Central Heating - Electricity and central heating is included. For those special nights in there is a glass fronted multi-fuel stove for which we provide a complementary fuel starter pack, additional fuel is available for purchase locally.

Change Over - Change over day is Saturday for weekly stays. Weekend breaks and Mid week breaks also available out of high season. Arrival time is from 6pm and departure 10am.
