  • The Hafod Estate - Hafod Uchtryd is recognised as one of the finest examples in Europe of a Picturesque landscape. With some lovely signed walks and stunning waterfalls. No surprise this was a tourism mecca in the picturesque period, not to be missed.
  • Lanachaeron- National Trust - 18th-century Welsh gentry estate - with house, walled gardens and home farm. This rare example of a self-sufficient 18th-century Welsh minor gentry estate has survived virtually unaltered. Cafe on site, can be entered without entry to estate. Local walks and bike hire from ticket office.
  • Strata Florida Abbey - a site of huge religious significance in Wales, closed in 1539 the ruins stand in a stunning landscape and you can learn more about this once magnificent site in the visitor centre and gift shop. Also a natural home for Welsh culture. Dafydd ap Gwilym, one of the best known of Wales’s medieval poets, is buried here under a yew tree. Entry fee April - Oct
  • The Welsh Quilt Centre - Here you can enjoy stunning exhibitions of Welsh Quilts in the gallery, attend quilt-related courses or just browse the intriguing Welsh Quilt Centre Gallery Shop. The original cottage shop in Llanybydder also remains open.
  • Oriel Gallery, celtic museum and Craft design centre- Located in Tregaron inside Rhiannons you will find the Oriel gallery which aims to showcase the talent of Welsh artists, both local and of international repute. Also there is a celtic museum, made up of Rhiannon’s personal collection of Celtic antiquities. There is also a cafe and gift shop.
  • Ceredigion Museum - Located in Aberystwyth a great place to visit on a wet day. Housed in a lovey building in its own right Its much bigger than it looks on the outside! Regular events held here. Open all year. Free entry.
  • Aberystwyth Arts Centre - Award winning Aberystwyth Arts Centre is Wales’ largest arts centre and recognised as a 'national flagship for the arts'. Cinema, exhibitions, theatre, shop and cafe.
  • Cambrian Safaris - Cambrian Safaris provides excursions into the Cambrian Mountains in a Land Rover Discovery. ​Come and enjoy fantastic views and scenery, local history and wildlife.
  • The Silver Mountain Experience - Steeped in myths and legends, high in the ancient Cambrian Mountains, the Silver Mountain Experience has tumbling streams, mysterious forests and long abandoned mine workings that will take you on a journey through the mists of time.
  • Dolaucothi Gold Mines (NT) - These unique gold mines are set amid wooded hillsides overlooking the beautiful Cothi Valley. Guided tours take you back to experience the conditions of the Roman, Victorian and 1930s underground workings. Onsite shop and cafe.
  • Cilgerran Castle (Cadw & NT) - Located near Cardigan, Cilgerran Castle, which overlooks the Teifi. Almost 800 years young and counting. Take the wall-walk to truly appreciate why it was built here. Stunning location. Open all year. Entry fee between April and October.
  • National Wool Museum -  Wool was historically the most important and widespread of Wales's industries. Located in the picturesque village of Dre-fach Felindre in the beautiful Teifi valley. Learn about the history of the Welsh wool industry. Cafe and shop on site. Free entry.
